I got no game, but guttural sounds,
And pointing at my crotch, but it makes the girls frown.
I got no game, as you can plainly see,
That's why I can't pick up a lady.
Let me know what you think, guys.
On Tuesday I entered the last year of my 20s and guess what people? I decided I wanted to party with you guys :D
So this week, the 24th Laughter Luau at Hawaii Bar is getting jampacked with insanely awesome comics. (All of these pictures link to the facebook events if you click on them)
I ended up making two posters, but I wanted to note that Blayne Smith and Katharine Ferns have also been added to this list.
And for all you jerkwads who cannot make it to the Luau, you're in luck!!! Off Key comedy is having it's fourth installment and though Robert cannot make it to this one (he's doing something pretty awesome elsewhere) we have Bobby Knauff as our special guest-host. Also, since it's my birthday, EVERY TICKET IS FIVE DOLLARS. Advanced, at the door, student, lawyer, poacher, whatever, you pay $5.00.
This line-up is amazing and ridiculous. Come, you'll f*cking love the f*cking f*ck out of this.
(also, it's my birthday, you better come).
Click on the photo for the facebook link.
Tonight!Moe Ismail, Jordan Sowunmi, DK Phan, Adam Jamal, and myself (Rush Zilla) with Quinn C. Martin hosting! There's comedy, and a party too! ThatDj Ki is on the 1's and 2's!! Come check it out. :D
Off Key comedy is back for it's third installment and we're going to serenade you to tears. Yeah. It's happening.
Ignore the part where I look like a turtle in our poster. I'll do my best to not make that face during the show. The picture links to the facebook invite (but it's coming up here anyway).
So, coming up, you'll see wee photos of our performers and descriptions. Robert wrote the descriptions (though I'll be writing in brackets - just cuz I do generally enjoy making a mess of things).
Headliner Heidi Brander: this rising star of Canadian comedy, who has appeared on MuchMusic's "Video on Trial" and "Entertainment Tonight Canada", will dazzle you with her clever song parodies and trademark wigs, which she skillfully uses to skewer today's most overexposed celebrities and other pop culture!
(I don't know this awesome lady personally - YET, but her tumblr is pretty awesome
And you know what? I really need to start throwing shout outs to Lee Cohen, our musical director.
He's amazing, ridiculously talented, and actually keeps the music going.
Anyhoo, Off Key Comedy, tomorrow night (or tonight depending on when you are reading this).
